Sharing Tree – Gift One, Take One

Is there anyone among our contacts here in the Lewiston-Auburn (ME) area, or perhaps in Portland (ME) who offers a Sharing Tree for the holidays? This would be an inside location where we can leave items we either want to regift or no longer need, and those who might want them can take home for free, while hopefully adding something they want to pay forward.

I know it’s a bit late in the season, but as I was packing a load to take to Goodwill, I thought that perhaps it would be better to find a way of giving things away. Yes, I know I can call around to various non-profits and I will probably do that.

However I love the idea of a Sharing Tree that could perhaps be available in all sorts of organizations & businesses, and would prefer to see such an idea grow.

(We can’t do it at the HHS offices for a number of reasons too boring to describe.)

Please let me know if you have any ideas!
